Restrictions - COVID-19 And Social Distancing

David L Thomas Professional ("us", "we", or "our") operates the http://www.dltp.co.uk website (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"). This page informs you of Service around the current COVID-19 Panademic which first surfaced in January of 2020.

 

From March 2020 the whole of UK was put into Lockdown to control the spread of the pandemic - although this resulted in over 40,000 deaths in the United Kingdom.      Since July 2020 the UK government has eased lockdown but has enforced Social Distancing and restrictions to how businesses operate - whether there staff need to wear PPE equipment, they need to work from home, etc.

Our Approach as being an IT, Business and imaginary provider is to offer as follows in line with advice from UK GOV and current Business Insurance Provider - Hiscox.

  • 1st Port of Call - Offer Remote Services / Queries / Help by Email / Mobile Text / Instant Messenger by Hotmail Business Page

  • 2nd Port of Call - to delve into the Clients requirements by the above avenues mentioned

  • 3rd Port of Call - to delve into the Clients requirements, offer 1 - n solution by above avenues mentioned and use of Remote Video Technology - Zoom

  • 4th Port of call (Restrictive - and in extreme circumstances due to Covid) - Household / My Office Exchange of Information / Documents - 1 Metre Away (5 Key Questions will be asked) *

Visits to Public Places

  • Trips to Public places possible with social distancing of 1 metre away inside and out like libraries, cafes

  • Advisable to use Secure VPN if possible when using the internet in public places

  • Reserve the right to check clients temperature and use of hand antibacterial gel - both myself and clients

  • Use of mask will be worn if we are closer than 1 metre away and client/s can be exempt using Face masks if they have an underlying health condition, e.g., asthma, etc

  • 5 Key Questions will be asked (See Below) to ascertain level of risk - any failures to Questions will result in no visits.

Visits to my Clients Home (Residential) /  Visits to my Home Office

  • Trips to Clients Home - Inside - advised not possible at moment  (currently being renewed)b

  • Trips to Clients Home - Outside area like Patio is possible provided that social distancing is observed and...

  • Strongly Recommend  the right to check clients temperature and use of hand antibacterial gel - both myself and clients

Visits by Me To Work Offices (Small Businesses - Large Corporations)

  • Trips to Small Businesses - Large Corporations possibly provided that all remote avenues of work exhausted or a face to face meeting is needed for efficiency of exchange of information

  • The Area of office and surroundings has been risk assessed and client has necessary Public Liability cover.

  • 5 Key Questions will be asked (See Below) to ascertain level of risk - any failures to Questions will result in no visits.

  • Strongly Recommend  the right to check clients temperature and use of hand antibacterial gel - both myself and clients

  • Use of mask will be worn if we are closer than 1 metre away and client/s can be exempt using Face masks if they have an underlying health condition, e.g., asthma, etc

  • Social Distancing measures are observed and If Possible meet in clean environment, e.g., meeting room, etc., provided that area has been cleaned.

Individuals / Residential / Commercial covering Individual needs, Small Businesses / Medium and Large Businesses / Corporations.

All Safeguards - in relation to Health and Information Retention

1st - 3rd Port of call should allow exchange of information like important documents, images by Email, Zoom - if possible avoiding Facebook message to send private / sensitive information.       All private / sensitive information to be removed from our systems after 90 days of completion of the current assignment.

 We are open to meeting up with clients but at current time this must be at a public site, e.g., library, open cafe that allow us to keep social distancing of up to 1.5m (e.g., separate work tables) and it may be advisable that if we work inside that Covid Masks are used along with using anti bacterial gel and regular adherence to good hand hygiene practices

Any meet up visits - I will make sure that prior to meeting up that I am well and a temperature check is carried out on myself using digital thermometer ( if my temperature is between 34 o C - 38 o c this is satisfactory, anything over 38 oc is cause for concern). 

 

Five / 5 Upfront Searching Questions needed to be Asked Prior to All Physically Meet ups.

Also I will need to ask the following <5> Questions if there is a physical meet up and exchange.

  • Are you or direct members of your house hold feeling well today and recently ? - min qualification 7 days

  • Are you or direct members of your house hold in the high risk group ?

  • Have you recently been abroad or have you been in contact with anyone who has ?

  • If you have been abroad are you still in Quarantine ?

  • Have you / direct members of your house hold have a fever, cold or sickness.

Any unsatisfactory / unsure answers will mean a non compliance in terms of meeting satisfactory and safe working arrangement - this will mean that further communications / work together will be done remotely until further notice.

  • Information / Service provided such as consultancy advice / coaching is provided to the level that we have learnt at that time and we may need extra time / sessions to perform additional research.

  • If issue / consultation in Question falls partially / fully in Medical sphere then the client must seek appropriate Medical consultation / advice, e..g, local GP (we will not be held liable in all cases)

  •  If issue/s falls partially / fully in Legal sphere then it is recommended the client must seek second opinion from an UK registered legal expert / Company, e.g., Solicitor, etc (we will not be held liable in all cases)

  • In agreeing to bring your digital device/s it is recommended that you install relevant Security on the corresponding devices such as Virus Protection, Malware and Ransomware - with up to date signatures.     We can show you / install / update relevant upgrade patches but we cannot be Held responsible for any damage to your devices, such as virus being implanted

  • Any Legal aspects / advice given then it is recommended that you seek council with relevant legal experts such as regulated Solicitors / Lawyers - we will give own opinion / recommendation that you can follow but may not necessary be (unintended) 100% legally correct - adhering to UK, EU and Global law/s., e.g.,  Representation of the People Act 1918, etc

  • All (Non - Freeware ) Apps require you to make a purchase for the new installation or for an upgrade.   Some APPS like Microsoft 360, Adobe Creative Suite require you to make a monthly subscription charge for use (Rent as you Use Model).

  • Installation, repair, maintenance of Smart Devices may need to be done by Separate 3rd Party Company

In addition to above.

  • The Cost of Digital Imaginary Manipulation, Transfer and Restoration is costed on Hourly Basis, however smaller jobs that take less than one hour will be charged accordingly and agreed with the Client.

  • For Digital Restoration (Will at present be stills images - non Video) and price charged will be how long it takes to scan (at least 6 mp) and to restore image as best as we can - there may be occasions where we cannot remove every scratch / blemish in the altered image as we may not be able to clone good enough data from around the affected portion of the image.

  • We can transfer Camcorder footage on HD Tape to MP4 electronic format with Non HD saved to SD PAL Format (720 x 576) and HD footage (1080p Max)

  • We can scan and digitise photo slides (both processed negatives and slides such as 35mm Slides - Kodak ) and in addition we can perform Digital Restoration on these images - resolution will be at least 6 mp - however this can be time consuming.

  • For Replacement of DVD / BLU-Ray content with electronic versions of the media it is advised that you secure an electronic license of the film from outlets such as Apple Itunes / Film, Amazon Prime, Netflixs Etc 

  • We will not hold the altered media nor the source media - this will be up to you to store securely.

  • We assume that you own the source material and THAT YOU WILL NOT Pirate the electronic delivered content

  • We will deliver all content to USB Stick.

  • In agreeing to bring your digital content it is recommended that these are publicly acceptable and we reserve the right to reject the contract if media is banned / inappropriate including banned blood sports, animal cruety, violence, drug taking and sexually explicit content, underage content and in state of undress.     We reserve the right to contact appropriate law enforcement agencies if we come across such content.

  • It is recommended that any content that you wish to be made private such as media on the device, on Social Media and Email to be kept in private folders (away from public eyes) and encrypted

  • Any attachments that we provide will be sent to a trusted Email address, named Social media / ISP account or on an encrypted USB (* additional charges may be invoked) - in most cases DO NOT distribute any provided information on unless you have our and the original copyright approval from the author/s of article / software and any related electronic authored media.

  • ​At the moment we do not offer transfer service from LP, VHS but if demand is there and is regular then we will look into providing this service.     LP audio information would be transferred to MP3 format, VHS will be transferred to Non-HD MP4 (SD PAL Format 720 x 576)

In addition to above.       Example of Having Safeguard protection between staff and client is Remote/Physical Training / Coaching Service.

  • ·        Training / advice will be provided Remotely at current time due to Covid / any agreed location will be done at public place dependent upon Covid-19 and Social distancing restrictions.    Meeting up at your home / my office location is only done at moment under strict conditions.

  • ·        In offering services  (and safeguarding) working with clients under 18, vulnerable people as example then relevant guardians should be around at all time and all matters discussed should be disclosed to your guardians, e.g., parents, carer’s

  • ·        Will actively apply and have Personal Liability Insurance during Trading of this Company
